Quality & certifications

Thanks to quality controls carried out on each and every product, Mure & Peyrot is able to guarantee its customers optimum product quality and conformity.

ISO 9001 certification enables us to demonstrate our commitment to quality, performance and customer satisfaction. This certification is proof of our ability to anticipate change and take account of the issues at stakes.

LNE certification enables us to guarantee compliance with European standards for materials and objects in contact with foodstuffs.

Ecovadis Silver certification enables us to identify our strengths and areas for improvement based on the 7 pillars of CSR. This is a global assessment of the company’s social responsibility.

With 120 years’ experience in the cutlery industry, and more recently in the design and injection molding of plastic parts for knives, Mure et Peyrot now markets cutting solutions that provide maximum safety for users.

The company is also developing a whole range of products for the windscreen industry and the bakery market.

It is essential for the company to guarantee its customers that the products delivered meet their requirements:

  • Functional
  • Durable
  • Safe use to the products
  • Complies with regulatory and legal requirements in certain sectors

To achieve this, the company implements a quality management system in compliance with ISO 9001 standards. Our system has been certified to this standard since 1998.

This system enables us to implement continuous improvement of our products and performance.

By analyzing our challenges, our business context and the expectations of our stakeholders, we are able to define an appropriate quality policy.

Here are the main lines adopted by management for Mure & Peyrot’s quality policy:

  • Reinforcing our commercial action
  • Improving quality of life at work
  • Rationalization of our range
  • Improving the reliability of our processes as part of our CSR approach
  • Strengthen our position in existing markets
  • Optimize our quality system and organization

Management provides the company with the resources required to implement this policy, and relies on the commitment of each individual, according to his or her role, to contribute to its application.

In order to meet your expectations, Mure & Peyrot has decided to comply with French standards, which are stricter than European standards for safety knives and industrial blades. For example, the decree of January 13, 1976 requires that stainless steel blades for food use contain a minimum of 13% chromium, whereas European standards only require 12.5% chromium.

This choice ensures compliance with French and European regulations. On the other hand, it requires the purchase of special steels, which explains the cost of our products.

  • The suitability of plastic and metal materials for food contact has been confirmed by several French laboratories. All their reports can be made available to potential customers. This suitability is subject to compliance with the use of authorized substances and within the limits given in terms of restrictions and/or specifications.
  • The constituents of our products are not likely to present a danger to human health, to bring about an unacceptable change in the composition of the foodstuff or to alter its organoleptic properties.

We attach the utmost importance to user safety, and every one of our knives is designed with safety in mind.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is the voluntary consideration of social, societal, and environmental concerns by companies and organizations in their activities.

  • Corporate Social Responsibility refers to the company’s relations with its business partners (consumers, suppliers, distributors, etc.).
  • Social Responsibility refers to the relationship between the company and its employees, as well as the social partners.
  • Environmental Responsibility concerns the environmental impacts related to the company’s activities (energy, manufacturing, packaging, transport, buildings, etc.).

We are proud to announce our company has achieved Silver certification from EcoVadis, a testament to our commitment to CSR.
